The regional fire jam.
Once a month, fire spinners drive from up to two hours away to practice their craft in a safe circle. Potluck food on the tables, gifted services from vendors who love this scene, music on the PA, spotters by the fuel depot. Think of it as a regional burn for forty people who all learn each other's names.
Next jam
The final Friday of every month — the final Friday, sundown until midnight.
The exact address — and the gate code for jam day — goes out once your RSVP is confirmed. The code retires after every jam and a new one is cut for the next, so the red door only opens for the people the fire is expecting. We're a residence as well as a venue, and we protect the land the way we'd protect a friend's home.
Never spun fire?
Come anyway.
Every jam has people who have never touched a lit prop. You can watch from the grass all night and you will have participated. If you want to try, someone will teach you with an unlit prop first, and nobody lights up without a safety. Bring a dish for the potluck table; bring your gifts; bring only yourself. Here is enough.
This is an alcohol-free space. Come sober, leave lit from the inside.
How we keep each other safe
The circle's agreements.
- Every burn has a spotter. No spotter, no flame. Spotting is a gift anyone can give. Ask and we'll show you how.
- The fuel depot is sacred ground. One person manages it, nothing lit comes near it, and it closes before the last burn ends.
- Ask before you touch — props, bodies, instruments, altars. A yes is only a yes when it's asked.
- Natural fibers near flame. If you're burning or spotting, no synthetics on your body.
- Anyone can call a pause. If something feels off to you, it's off. Say the word and the circle stops.
- Leave it better than you found it. Pack out what you brought, and consider what you didn't.

The RSVP isn't a ticket and there's no set price. It tells the kitchen how much food to expect, tells the fire leads how many safeties we need, and gets you the address and the waiver. Everyone who burns or spots signs the waiver once a year. It protects your body and this land.

Before the coals go cold.
In the days after each jam we ask one question: what did the fire teach you? Your answer goes on the mirror, where the community sees itself. It's also how next month's jam gets shaped: tell us what you needed and didn't find, and someone will probably fill that need before you're back.
